Privacy policy
Sugar Honey Pty Ltd (ABN 59 661 277 194) (“Sugar Honey”) respects your privacy and handles personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
- Details you give us in our forms: your name, email, phone, business name, website, the services you’re interested in, budget and anything you write to us.
- Creator applications: your social handles, audience and niche.
- How you found us, such as the link or ad you clicked (UTM tags).
- With your consent, how you use the site, through analytics and advertising cookies.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, prepare a proposal and deliver our services.
- To match businesses with suitable creators.
- To improve our website and measure which ads and posts work.
- To send updates you’ve asked for. You can unsubscribe any time.
We don’t sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
Only the services that help us run Sugar Honey, such as website hosting, our client database, email and, with your consent, analytics and advertising platforms (Google and Meta). Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States. We choose providers with strong security and only share what they need.
Keeping it safe
Your information is stored in secure, access-controlled systems. Only our team can see enquiries, and we keep them only as long as we need them for the reasons above or as the law requires.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to make the site work, and analytics and marketing cookies only if you allow them.
Clients who connect Facebook
If you’re a client and connect your Facebook account to our private client portal (sugarhoney.app) using “Continue with Facebook”, Meta shares the following with us, only with your permission:
- The Facebook Pages, Instagram accounts and ad accounts you manage, so you can choose which ones to connect.
- Leads from your Facebook and Instagram lead forms: the name, email, phone and any other answers your form asks for.
- Results from your ads, such as spend, reach, clicks and leads.
- A secure access key that lets the portal fetch this for you.
We use it only to show your leads and ad results to you and our team in your portal, so we can follow up leads and report on your campaigns. The leads belong to you: we handle them on your behalf and never sell them, use them for our own marketing or share them with anyone else. Everything is kept in our access-controlled database in Sydney, and access keys are stored separately and never shown in the portal. Ad results are fetched when you view them; leads are kept while we work together.
You can remove our access at any time in your Facebook settings, and ask us to delete everything we received. See Data deletion for the steps.
Your choices
You can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@sugarhoney.com.au. We’ll reply within 30 days.
Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, email us first and we’ll work to fix it. If you’re still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
