The 2026 Logies just dropped its presenter lineup, and squeezing Peking Duk into a ceremony this stacked genuinely raises the stakes for what's usually a fairly predictable night.

TV Week confirmed this week that the ARIA winning duo will perform their new single "Thrills" live at The Star Sydney on Sunday 16 August, complete with a guest vocalist and what's been teased as a couple of cheeky surprises. Robert Irwin returns to host, with a presenter list that reads like a greatest hits of Australian television: Simon Baker, Asher Keddie, Tim Minchin, Sophie Monk, Amanda Keller, Todd Woodbridge and Bruce McAvaney are all confirmed, alongside comedians Urzila Carlson and Guy Montgomery.

The nominations themselves are shaping up to be genuinely competitive this year. MasterChef Australia and Married at First Sight are both up for major categories, which guarantees some tension in the room given how differently their fanbases feel about each show. Add in a live Peking Duk performance and a host with Robert Irwin's easy charm, and this is looking like one of the more watchable Logies in recent memory rather than the usual slog through categories nobody outside the industry cares about.

It's also worth remembering the Logies live or die on unpredictable moments: an unscripted joke, an awkward speech, a performance that goes slightly off script. A stacked presenter list doesn't guarantee any of that, but it does mean more chances for something genuinely memorable to happen on the night.

Mark the calendar for 16 August. We'll have the full wrap once the winners are actually announced, but for now, this is shaping up to be a Logies worth clearing your evening for.
