Sydney's Oz Comic-Con is landing at the Showground this month, and cosplay season is back for round two

Sydney is about to get very loud, very colourful and extremely cosplay heavy. Oz Comic-Con touches down at Sydney Showground on 12 and 13 September, though the guest line up has just had a late change.

Doors open 9am to 5pm both days at Sydney Olympic Park. Expect the usual comic con chaos: hundreds of exhibitors and artists, panels, gaming, an artist alley and enough cosplay to make you feel underdressed in your normal clothes.

Miranda Otto, best known as Éowyn in The Lord of the Rings, was originally billed as the headline guest for the Sydney show but has since withdrawn, according to an update posted on Oz Comic-Con's Instagram.

Still confirmed is a serious anime and internet comedy lineup: Brandon Rogers, the voice of Blitzø in Helluva Boss and a YouTube comedy veteran with billions of views, plus voice actors Lizzie Freeman, Adam McArthur and Griffin Burns, whose credits between them cover Genshin Impact, Jujutsu Kaisen, Demon Slayer, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and The Amazing Digital Circus.

All four remaining guests are doing photo opportunities, autograph sessions and live panels across the weekend, on top of the Australian Championships of Cosplay, cosplay parades and competitions that have become the show's biggest drawcard.

This is round two of Oz Comic-Con's spring run. The tour heads to Brisbane's Convention and Exhibition Centre on 19 and 20 September, so it is worth checking the official page again closer to that date in case the lineup shifts a second time.
